Lewis County School Receives Threat; Student In Court

HOHENWALD, TN- A Lewis County Middle School student is in court due to a possible social media threat.

Several parents grew concerned after a student reportedly made a threat on her Instagram account.

The student reportedly posted a to Instagram and asked "Should I threaten to shoot the school up." She then ask people to comment "No Crazy Bish" or "Shoot TF Outta It."

Lewis County Sheriff Dwayne Kilpatrick says the student was being "evaluted" and will be in Juvenile Court on Wednesday.

A concerned parent reached out to WOPC HD News on Tuesday night and said that "This child is in my sons grade and this is scary."

"If they put these kids in ISS only it often makes them more angry, they need help."
