Florence Student Arrested For Reportedly Having Gun And Ammunition At School

FLORENCE, AL- Florence Police says an arrest was made on Tuesday of a teen allegedly with a gun and ammunition.
A press release says that the School Resource Officer at Florence High School received information that student had a gun.

The police say that the SRO immediately separated the student from the student body and took him to the office.

The teen was reportedly questioned and the gun was located. The release also says that ammunition was found separately from the weapon.

The 17-year-old, 11th grader was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

The release says that the teen was turned over to juvenile authorities.
