Deputies Looking Into Possible Theft And Posioning Of Dogs

WAYNESBORO, TN- Both the Lauderdale County and Wayne County Sheriff's Offices are looking into a string of dog thefts in the area of the Alabama and Tennessee State line.
The WCSO posted to their Facebook page that they were aware of and investigating a string of dog poisonings and thefts in the area of Pumping Station Road and Big Cypress Road. Those roads are in the southernmost part of Wayne County and border Alabama.

The post says that the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office had informed them that the same was happening in the neighboring Alabama County.

The poisonings are said to be happening late at night or early in the morning hours.

The individual who is reportedly doing this is alleged to be leaving meat that has been mixed with some form of poison.

The WCSO is asking for the public's assistance in locating a late 90's to early 2000, Ford Explorer that may be connected to this case.
