Speed Limit To Increase Soon On Hwy 64

HARDIN COUNTY, TN- Travel time between Waynesboro and Savannah just got a little bit quicker.

On Wednesday, State Representative David Byrd posted to his Facebook account:

"I have talked with TDOT West TN Regional Director, Jason Baker, and he has informed me that the speed limit on highway 64 (Olive Hill) will be changed to 65 within the next week or two. There will be a short distance at Olive Hill that will remain 55 due to safety concerns. The 65-speed limit will continue until around the Vulcan Materials Company, and then it will then drop to 55."

Byrd represents Hardin, Lewis, Wayne and a portion of Lawrence County.
