Perry County Basketball Teams Ready For District Tournament.




LINDEN, Tennessee- With the regular season over and done with, the Lady Vikings and Vikings of Perry County are getting ready for the District 12A Tournament, which begins Monday night at Dave Rhodes Memorial Gym in Linden.
The Lady Vikings (15-11), the number three seed, host the sixth seed Frank Hughes Lady Lions. The official tournament host will be Wayne County High School in Waynesboro, Tn.

The first round games will be Monday (Girls) and Tuesday (Boys) with the higher seeds (3, 4) getting a home game to see who gets to go to Waynesboro to play in the Semi-Finals on Thursday and Friday against the number two seed, Loretto, and number one seed Summertown, also ranked #3 in Class A.

The Lady Vikings are led by Senior point guard and Freed-Hardeman signee Chynia Brooks (20.2 ppg., 10.8 rpg., 3.6 apg.) as well as Junior guard Jaycie Roberts (11.6 ppg) and Sophomore guard Andrea Bradford (7.6 ppg.)

The fifth seeded Vikings (13-12) will be on the road Tuesday to take on the fourth seeded Collinwood Trojans. The boys tournament standings have not been finalized.

The Vikings are led by Freshman guard Tyler Dudley (9.6 ppg) and Junior guard Maclaine Pevahouse (9.6 ppg) as well as Senior post player Jordan Barber (8.6 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 3.1 bpg), Junior Jackson Moore ( 7 ppg, 5.6 rpg), and Senior point guard Brock Young (6.9 ppg, 3.6 apg).
