Kingpin Granny Tries To Escape After Massive Drug Bust

PARSONS, TN- Betty Jordan, also known as "Kingpin Granny", not only allegedly caught with over 1,000 pills and $1000 in cash, also reportedly tried to evade officers trying to arrest her.

According to the Decatur County Sheriff's Office, the 75-year-old Jordan has been dealing prescription pills out of her Parsons home.

The court documents show that the Decatur County Sheriff's Office confiscated over 1,000 pills including Oxycodone and Xanax. Along with the drugs they say they seized over $12,000 in cash and assets.

Jordan was charged with six felony narcotics counts and on top of those charges, the elderly woman who appeared to be in a wheelchair in her booking photo was charged with evading arrest.

The warrant says that "Due to the suspect age and medical condition" Jordan was told that she was under arrest and to stay at her residence until the investigator could return. When deputies arrived to take her to the county jail, the wheelchaired "Kingpin Granny" was reportedly "gone along with her clothing and personal items."

She was later taken into custody, booked and released on a $50,000 bond.

More arrests are expected to be made.
