Fire Kills Two Pets And Destroys Columbia Home



COLUMBIA, TN- A home was destroyed on Saturday morning, the family escaped but two of their pets were killed
The Columbia Fire Department responded to a residential fire on Saturday morning just after 7 a.m., the fire was at 1416 South High Street.

A family member told WOPC HD News that the family escaped the home but that they were only able to get one of the families pets out safely. The family of three reportedly lost a pet cat dog and cat in the fire

A relative posted on Facebook, "The house went up so quickly, they only made it out with what they were wearing and 1 of their 3 animals. Both of their vehicles and all of their medication for diabetes and his breathing equipment and tanks are completely gone."


A Go Fund Me account has been set up to assist the family.
