The Snow May Not Be Over Yet

MEMPHIS, TN - Another round of flurries and measurable snowfall may be headed back to parts of west and middle Tennessee.
The National Weather Service office in Memphis say another arctic blast will usher in the chance for flurries Monday and Tuesday. In an advisory issued Sunday morning, the weather service noted: "An arctic front will move through the Mid-South late Monday afternoon into Monday night. A band of accumulating snow will likely develop across the area Monday night into Tuesday morning.

The area of greatest concern for accumulating snow is from east central Arkansas into northwest Mississippi and southwest Tennessee where one to two inches is possible. This area includes
Memphis.

Arctic air will settle over the region Tuesday through Thursday with very cold temperatures. Wind chills will drop below zero at times from Tuesday morning through Thursday morning."

This latest advisory comes as several areas continue to see impacts from Friday's winter weather that caused multiple crashes on the interstate, and closed several roads around the region. Temperatures could reach single digits in the overnight hours Tuesday evening.
