Giles County Drug Round Up Ongoing

On Wednesday morning agents with the 22nd Judicial Drug Task Force, the Giles County Sheriff’s Department, the Pulaski Police Department, TBI, along with other agencies, held a drug round up.

Earlier the Giles County Grand Jury returned indictments on twenty-nine people with multi-count indictments including charges of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, and pills.
By lunch, the agencies managed to locate and arrest fourteen of the twenty-nine the wanted individuals.
Those fourteen are now being housed in the Giles County jail under various bonds and are set to appear in court later in February.
“I want to thank all of the agencies involved in this successful drug investigation.  As long as there are those in our community selling these illegal substances, we will be seeking to prosecute them. To the fifteen individuals still at large, turn yourself in to the Giles County Sheriff Department as soon as possible” District Attorney Brent Cooper stated.
