Decatur County Hospital Gets A Shot At Life

DECATURVILLE, TN- For weeks the topic of discussion around Decatur County has been the possible loss of their community hospital. Last night the hospital got a chance at life.
At a meeting last night of the Decatur County Commission, County Mayor Mike Creasy told the commissioners that he had secured a signed Letter of Intent from a group that says they want to buy Decatur County General Hospital.

The Mayor said that there would be a special called session of the County Commission on Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. at which time more information would be presented to the commissioners.  

The News Leader  reported that the Letter of Intent was signed with Impeli Health of Nashville. The group has assured the mayor that if they purchase DCGH, they intend to retain a working hospital in Decatur County.
